Trailer registration: like the towing vehicle, the trailer must carry a registration number plate.
■ If the GTWR of the trailer is less than or equal to 500 Kg, this plate must have the same registration number as the towing vehicle.
■ If the GTWR is greater than 500 Kg, the trail must have its own registration.
All the papers required for registration will be handed over with you when you collect your trailer. This conformity certificate is important and no duplicates can be supplied.
Simply hand in these papers at the prefecture (or police station) to obtain the registration of your trailer.
You must declare the trade with your insurer.
